On the year of her tenth birthday, after an argument, a quite young girl decides to put an end to the relationship with her father, who had quickly become estranged from her mother – a solitary man from the Cape of Wrath in Finistère, a man of the sea and shores. From then on, she receives salted packages of sailing books, press cuts and, deep inside, letters filled with wind, boats and advice in a tight handwriting tilting strangely to the left. She will wait ten years to respond, with a book that compiles her father’s epistolary treasure of news from the West.
Second print run co-published with Tombolo Presses
